These are selling very fast, we are restoring more of these iconic lamps and can offer bespoke colour finishes, with matching or contrasting flex options. This original Desk Lamp was originally designed in 1934 by George Carwardine. Manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons Limited of Redditch. This is an earlier model - 1227 - produced from 1938. It has been sympathetically restored to a very high standard, finished in green and polished aluminium. It has been re-wired with green braided flex, has a new bulb holder and cable grommets, complete with inline switch. The chrome springs are in excellent condition. There are some minor pin dents to the shade interior. The base is finshed with green baize.
