THIS LAMP IS NOW SOLD JULY 2010 - ANOTHER JUST ADDED. THESE ARE THE BEST EXAMPLES YOU WILL FIND AVAILABLE. This stunning Desk Lamp was originally designed in 1934 by George Carwardine. Manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons Limited of Redditch. This is an earlier model - 1227 - produced from 1938. It has been sympathetically restored to a very high standard, finished in bright red paint and polished aluminium. It has been re-wired with silver/grey braided flex, has a new chrome bulb holder and cable grommets, complete with in line switch. The chrome springs are in excellent condition. The base is finshed in burgandy baize. We will be restoring more of these iconic lamps, if you are interested in purchasing one, it can be finished in a colour of your choice.
