About 30 Something!

We are a family run business established in 2005. We offer an eclectic mix of original period lighting, handmade bespoke luminaries and industrial lighting. All pieces are either restored to a very high standard, sourced from our selected lighting partners or are handmade in our own workshop. Our new lighting range is made from quality British brass components. Most of our lighting will accept either standard or energy saving light bulbs. Fittings can be altered to suit your exact requirements.  All lamps and fittings are tested for electrical safety in accordance with the Lighting Association’s Code of Practice. Fittings should always be installed by a qualified electrician.

We believe our new product lines offer a real alternative to the mass produced reproduction offerings currently available on the market.

We are committed to giving you, the client, online buying confidence, by providing good quality items with a fair and honest description at reasonable prices. We appreciate your requirements and ultimately protecting our reputation is your guarantee.  We have exacting standards and as such will only sell items that we would be delighted to display in our own home; we have many returning customers, which speaks for itself.

Restoration, Sourcing Services and Parts

We offer a sourcing service; replacement lighting parts & accessories can also be supplied. We have just added a replacement glass lamp shade category. Other shades may be available, so if you don't see what you are looking for, please feel free to contact us. Further we undertake full restoration services at competitive rates, including, rewiring, alterations, welding, brazing, leading, filling & metal finishing, from polishing to chromium & nickel plating. We can arrange for cost effective remote collection and delivery by our reliable courier service.

Payment

We accept all major Debit and Credit Cards via Paypal.  Funds should be remitted in Pounds Sterling. Paypal also offers buyer protection. If you are uncomfortable with making online payments, we can accept cheques by prior arrangement.

Packaging

We pack all items professionally in new packaging with bubble wrap and eco friendly biodegradable chippings, which should prevent any damage to your purchases.  In the unlikely event of damage, please retain the original packaging as this may be needed for any insurance claim.  Whilst we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of items in transit, we will be happy to assist with any claim.  The client has sole responsibility for any import duties or taxes payable. 

Returns Policy

In order that you may purchase items in complete confidence, we offer a full money back guarantee should you be dissatisfied in any way or simply have a change of mind.  Items should be returned strictly within seven days following reciept, please email us at info@30-something.co.uk for return shipping instructions.  Following receipt of the item, a refund of the purchase price will be issued within 10 working days, provided the goods are received in the same condition as they were when dispatched.

Delivery

Whilst we will endeavour to dispatch your purchase(s) promptly, new light fittings are handmade to order. As such you should allow up to 5 days for dispatch, during busy periods. Most items are sent by Courier and are delivered within 48 hours. Smaller Items are sent via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or Aimail for overseas customers. We are happy to provide international shipping quotations for larger items on request.

Privacy Statement

This website is fully secured against loss of your personal data and complies with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1984. Your account information is held solely for the purposes of use within this website and will not be disclosed to third parties. Your Credit and Debit Card information is held by Paypal and is never disclosed to us.

The currency conversion prices displayed on this site, whilst updated on a regular basis, are intended for guidance only.  The prices displayed may differ from the actual amount that appears on your Bank or Credit Card Statement owing to timing differences and also different exchange rates applied by your bank or card provider. A link is provided at the foot of each page.
